LG’s first 3D notebook – R590 3D

LG today reveals its first 3D notebook, which is based on Intel’s Calpella platform and Nvidia graphics and of course comes bundled with polarized glasses. The R590 3D has a 15.6-inch display, powered by Intel Core i7 Processor with HM55 chipset, NVIDIA GeForce GT335M graphics card with 1GB of dedicated DDR3 video memory, it feature a SRS Tru-Surround HD sound, option for DVD burner or Blu-ray drive, runs Windows 7 and comes with TriDef software, which  converts 2D video to 3D in real time.

As LG claims the included polarized glasses, has not internal circuitry or batteries and helps to reduce eye fatigue when watching 3D content on the LG R590 3D.

LG’s first 3D notebook will be launched in Korea this month with price tag around $1300 and introduced globally in the weeks to follow.

Magellan eXplorist 510, 610 and 710 GPS handhelds revealed

Magellan has unveiled a new eXplorist handheld GPS devices, extending their award-winning, rugged GPS series. The new models have codenames eXplorist 510, 610 and 710, each of them has a 3-inch touch-sensitive display, high-sensitivity GPS,  a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with auto-focus, microphone and speaker to record geo-referenced images, videos, and voice notes.

The new GPS devices are waterproof (IPX-7) and come preloaded with “the most detailed worldwide map in the industry”- Magellan’s World Edition map, which contains the complete road network for U.S., Canada, Western Europe and Australia. The top model eXplorist 710comes with Summit Series topographic map and City Series turn-by-turn map, which allows users to navigate their vehicles “through busy city streets on their way to their outdoor adventures”. The other two – the eXplorist 610 and 710 feature a 3-axis electronic compass and a barometric altimeter for precise orientation, accurate elevation information, and enables for weather pattern tracking. Also each model features Magellan’s award-winning OneTouch favorites menu, silent proximity alarms , they have expandable memory, paperless geocaching, high sensitivity GPS enabling 3-5 meters of accuracy, GPX compatibility, 16 hours of battery life, high sensitivity GPS enabling 3-5 meters of accuracy, vertical profiling, a digital almanac, track summary statistics and area calculation.

The new Magellan eXplorist GPS devices will be available to consumers worldwide in the 4th quarter, 2010. The prices are as follow : 510 $349.99, the eXplorist 610 $449.99, and the eXplorist 710 $549.99.

Pentax adds a retro-taste to Optio I-10 compact digital camera

Pentax announces, that adds a new black-and-silver version with retro-taste to their PENTAX Optio I-10 camera,  launched earlier this year.

Called the PENTAX Optio I-10 Classic Silver, the new model shares the same features and specs like the old one – 12.1 megapixels sensor, 2.7? LCD and  5X optical zoom lens offering a 28mm wide-angle coverage (in the 35mm format). But the new version was “created in response to users’ enthusiastic requests for a black-and-silver appearance reminiscent of the beloved SLR film cameras of the past”. Pentax is trying to achieve a retro-taste look of a classic SLR camera with combination of a black-colored front panel with  textured-leather-like finish and silver-colored top and bottom panels.

Canon Announced VIXIA HF M32 Dual Flash Memory Camcorder

The leader in digital imaging technology, Canon USA, introduced today a new camcorder that is equipped with 64GB of internal flash memory, entitled the VIXIA HF M32 Dual Flash Memory camcorder.

The VIXIA HF M32 has a long battery life of high-definition video recording. It comes with 64GB of internal flash memory, with the possibility to record up to twenty four hours of high-definition video.

OCZ unveils High-Density 4GB DDR3 at 2133 MHz memory kits

OCZ comes up with new high-speed 4GB (4096MB) modules,  aimed at gamers and performance enthusiasts. The kits are available in either 8GB dual channel or 12GB triple channel kits from their Flex EX,  Reaper HPC and Platinum Series momory, working at 2133MHz.

The 4GB modules operate at 1.65V and as OCZ claims “are tested and qualified on the latest AMD and Intel platforms to ensure ultimate performance and stability”. They comes with lifetime warranty and is expected to be available soon.
